On the 14^th of December Trident Manor Limited and Newcastle Airport Training Academy had their 'Airside Defensive Driving’ programme approved by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The aim of the programme is to reduce the number of vehicle related incidents that occur airside at airports. The aim of which is to limit disruptions and increase operational effectiveness by increasing situational awareness. Being aware that all staff at airports have a proactive part to play in protecting the facilities, staff and customers we have introduced a situational awareness element to increase levels of vigilance. All instruction is given by RoSPA or Department of Transport qualified instructors and security professionals who have vast experience in teaching situational and surveillance awareness around the world. The programme has been accredited for airports in the United Kingdom and internationally.
