Training in Security Risk Management for Cultural Venues Delivered in Hartlepool

Trident Manor Training Academy was pleased to deliver CPD-accredited training to managerial and administrative staff who represented a variety of well-known museums across the Northeast of the UK.

The training course, delivered in a cultural venue in Hartlepool, provided an introduction to Security Risk Management at cultural venues. In this entry-level course, attendees were able to learn about the most common threats faced by museums, as well as how to assess vulnerabilities and prioritise risks effectively. At the end of the programme, attendees had the opportunity to engage with one another in a practical exercise which involved conducting a risk assessment in the venue where the training was being held.

This session highlights the importance of forward planning, awareness and communication in assessing the risks of any venue. What came out of the discussions was that every organisation is unique in the threats it faces and its approach to managing risk. It was also noted that collaboration and information sharing amongst staff facilitate a more effective risk management approach.
