Recognising the exceptional work taking place across the arts, heritage, and cultural sectors, the IAASF Steering Committee is proud to launch the IAASF Cultural Protection Awards (CPA) 2026.

Across the world, dedicated individuals, organisations, and projects are working every day to protect and preserve the cultural heritage that connects us. Whether safeguarding historic collection, preserving traditions, training future professionals, or developing innovative protection strategies, these efforts play a vital role in ensuring that our cultural legacy survives for generations to come.

Created to celebrate excellence in cultural heritage protection, the Cultural Protection Awards will honour individuals, organisations, and projects that have made significant contribution to the preservation and protection of art and cultural heritage over the past 12 months.

If you believe that you, your organisation, or someone you know has demonstrated outstanding commitment to protecting cultural heritage, IAASF wants to hear from you!

Nominations are now open across four award categories, with submissions welcomed from individuals, organisations, and third parties acting on behalf of a nominee. Multiple applications are permitted, providing an opportunity to showcase excellence across different areas of cultural protection.

Applications must be received by 4:00pm (BST) on 16th August 2026.

Young Cultural Protection Leader

Cultural Protection Training Initiative

All shortlisted nominees will be notified by 19th August 2026, with winners announced during the IAASF Gala Dinner on 8th September 2026.

All finalists will receive:

• An invitation to the IAASF Conference
• A framed Certificate of Merit
• Recognition among peers and sector leaders

In addition, the overall winners will receive the prestigious Cultural Protection Award (CPA) Trophy, acknowledging their exceptional contribution to the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
