Security Site Visits Across the UK
Wednesday, 11th February 2026
Over the past 4 weeks, the Trident Manor team has conducted multiple site visits across England and Scotland, for venues preparing for new exhibitions.
The range of sites visited has been broad and varied, from historic houses and large art galleries, to locally-run venues dedicated to the legacy of one historic local figure.
The types of threats and challenges that each of these venues face is different from site to site, but the need for risk management is the same; any new exhibition with new items on display will change the risk profile of the venue and may require different risk treatments.
We are grateful to come across passionate individuals wherever we go, whose ultimate concern is the guardianship of tangible culture and heritage, as well as the objective to share these objects with the world (or the local community). Our approach is to work with these individuals to find the most pragmatic ways to adapt security and ensure its flexibility for future adjustments, so that security can work for the venue, rather than the other way around.
