Andy Davis gave a presentation to a regional Counter-Terrorism 'Prevent' Tactical Group on Martyn's Law and the benefits of Protective Security

On the 14th of May 2026, Andy Davis attended a regional Prevent Tactical (Silver) Group meeting. During this time, he heard about the significant efforts being made to address the terrorist threat through the Prevent strategy. Following lunch, Andy gave a presentation on parts of the Protect strategy and, in particular, outlined the impact of Martyn's Law - Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 and protective security strategies to help protect against acts of terrorism and broader adversarial threats.

Andy commented, "This was a great way to see how the different strands of governmental approaches to countering the terrorist threats can come together. I was glad I could help educate others on aspects of protective security that exist and not just from governmental or CTP sources."
