The Level 4 Certificate for Protective Security Advisers programme has begun! We welcomed 7 delegates from across the UK to our Darlington training facility this September for the first week of in-person sessions. Delegates took part in engaging discussions and exercises during sessions on Asset Criticality, Interconnected Legislation, and Effective Governance. During the session on Technical Threats, delegates were able to handle the different types of Quick Plant Devices, giving them a greater insight into how they can be used. Having this demonstration of just how small and inconspicuous these devices are helped our delegates better understand the threat that they pose.

We are now in the fifth week of our online sessions, already having covered topics such as Cyber, Protester, Terrorism and Insider Threats. These sessions give delegates great foundational knowledge, which will help them in the coming weeks and in practical exercises that we have planned for later in the programme. Next week, we will welcome our delegates back to Darlington for the next in-person sessions.
