Documentary Reviews for Multiple International Venues

During December and January, Trident Manor was engaged in quality assurance processes involving documentary reviews of security measures at cultural venues in over 10 countries.

When conducting reviews internationally, it is important to understand the differences in standards and regulations between different countries and how these impact the parameters within which cultural venues can approach their protective security measures.

For example, while a preference for cultural venues in some countries may be that VSS (Video Surveillance System) footage be kept for 3 months, other countries may be restricted by GDPR in how long they can retain this data.

The standards used in many countries to certify security systems and products, or to regulate third-party companies such as Alarm Receiving Centres or Contract Security Providers, can also be difficult to translate internationally. For this reason, it’s important to research and understand what is expected, but also take a risk-based approach towards understanding what is most appropriate when recommending protective security measures.
